Chevrolet: 98 cavalier doesnt have egr valve, throtle body, chevy cavalier

Question
How can I determine how to install an egr valve on my 98 cavalier that seems to have mixed engine and head?
I bought a 98 Chevy Cavalier from an action sale acknowledging the service engine light on.  I was thinking that maybe it was just a sensor. However when it was diagnosed it was found to be completely missing the Egr valve bracket to mount it and the tube that goes back to the throtle body.  The parts I bought at the junk yard for it didnt fit because my car has a different throtle body ( the tube won't fit)and there are no holes on the engine block to mount the egr mounting bracket assembly.  A friend told me he thinks that my cavalier has a saturn head on head because he could see the styrofoam look on it.  What can i do.  I bought the car "as is"
Thanks for taking time out to answer my question
Thanks

Hi - that stinks, I would try to mount it some how, can you make a mount or make a hole and tap it ?. I would try to mount it up some way , you will not pass the emmis. test. right. and if it comes down to it , you might have to get a new head for it.or a rebuilt one...  ok
