Chevrolet: 1985 corvette loose steering wheel, tilt wheel, colume

hello
i recently bought a 85 corvette. and the steering is extremly loose at the tilt . i can grab the wheel and wobble it all around. i was told i could tear into it and tighten 4 bolts. but i was wondering what all does that entail.sounds to easy to be true..

Hi - I would say that the bolts that hold the colume up can be tightnd but if it is a tilt wheel , it could be that the joint might be worn out and that is differnt. but I would try to snug up the bolts that hold it up . you will see them ..   ok >>>
