how do you reset the crank sensor in 2000 camaro 3.8

 HI , I only know from 1955 thru 1970 s cars  as stated, but I think that when it is put in , if it will not re-set itself, than you must do so with a meter/computer to punch in the codes to set it and to take the light out if it is on .most times it should go out by itself .
