Chevrolet: signal lights, 2000 chevy malibu, chevy malibu

Question
I have a 2000 Chevy Malibu, sometimes when I flip the signal lights on there's nothing.  Other times they work just fine. I don't know what the problem is, could you help me Please?

  Hi - well it could be a loose wire or a bad ground , or the signal switch might be going bad. I would check all the bulbs and clean the grounds on them and check the fuse for the lights and see it that is bad or replace it.and check the flasher unit.try all of the little things first, and if it still does it than your switch is going or its not grounded good enough.  ok   Roger jm W
