Chevrolet: a/c low pressure switch, chevy c1500, wire connector

Question
I have a 1989 Chevy c1500; 305; TBI. The a/c compressor has a switch on the upper rear with a one wire connector. The post in the switch itself has broken. Is it low pressure switch? and if so can I bypass and how? System was recently charged with R12 and working excellent, started blowing warm, clutch not kicking out. I live in AZ and will DIE without my air. Please help Fast. THanx

If you can get to that post some how and run a wire to it than it should work if it did not break the circut    there is really no right way around it but getting a replacment, if the clutch is not working than you will need a new one, but can you try to run a hot wire to the comp. and see if it will work that way ?
