Chevrolet: 55 chev ignition wiring, 55 chev, coil wire

im working on car rewire and need to know the proper wiring of ignitin to starter to coil. also what the r wire from starter should be.

 The coil wire from the fire wall goes to the coil and the other coil goes to the hot dist / wire . are the wires not there ?
the starter only has the two wires. and on the wire harness that comes down to the starter - the ends of the wires have round ends on them and they will only fit the one way .
