Hello Mr. Roger,

1st timer at this, how would i go about replacing a front wheel bearing for a 95 Chevy Cavalier.
Thanks for your time,
Chad

Chad;
  First I would go to the library and look in the auto tech books for the section that is on bearings, this way you will know what is what , you will have to remove the tire and than the tin cap that is on the spindel , the disc brake unit /caliper might also have to be removed , than the axle/drum  will have to come off. as for the bearings-there are two of them the inner and outer and the race  should be replaced , pressed on at a shop .how do you know that the bearings are bad ?

hello, again Mr. Roger,

the front wheel has alot of play in it when I grab tire (still mounted on car) I can wiggle it about 1/4 to 1/2 inch, Also Monro Muffler and Brakes
told me there was a problem with that wheel bearing when I had the car in for brake work.
thanks again,
Chad

  If the berg. is bad , why did they not replace it when it was in the shop ?
Did you try to re-pack it with greese ? you should get a book at the library with the instructions and photos to show you all about it- if it is put in wrong or to tight it will burn right out on you.Or worse...>>>>
