Chevrolet: water pump?, tempature, water pump

Question
Hi, I have a 93 v6 4.3L chevy pick-up. Some time ago i was working on the truck and since i had no anti-freeze i only used water.  Well just few days ago we had a unexpected drop of tempature and the water froze, after the water thawed I noticed it under the car which led me to believe that the radiator broke, when I poured water into the radiator I noticed water coming from the bottom of the engine.  Then I thought that it might be the water pump since the engine was running without making any significant sound, but what I was surprised is that not only the water was coming out from the area where the engine is mounted to the frame but it was coming down fast. Now I don't know if it is the water pump since the engine is running ok, or is it something else.

thank you for your time.

Answer
Hi Bartek
If you did not crack any thing you just might have poped out a freeze out plug or two. there are a bunch of them all over the engine , some are easy to get at and some must be repaired with the engine out . I hope that if it is a plug that it is one that is easy to get at.It could still just be a hose or something else .It will have to be checked by someone that knows  about it.
