Chevrolet: 2000 chev impala noise, pvc valve, dealer ship

I have a 2000 Chev Impala 3.8  V6. A couple of months ago my Impala started to make this sound. It was a lond like humming noise coming from the drvier side around the engine. It does it when its cold in the morning in all gears and in drive and park. When its 1/4 of the way warmed up it stops. Please help if you can im a 23 year old female and i have spent about$1400.00 on fixing things. the power steering is full and the dealer ship said it was the pvc valve and o-ring i replced it. and i don't know if me needing oil about every two weeks to a month has anything to do with it.. thank you for your time reading this and helping if you can......         Thanks Poppy

  Hi   I know  it  cost  a lot  to  have  a car. do  you have a oil leak ? And have you checked the auto. tranny fluid ? if low it will do that . also you say the pcv valve , that  is a simple thing and it would not do that.
If it only makes the sound when cold it might just be a normal thing . if everything is ok i would not worry about it as most cars now days make some type of a sound when cold, as long as it is normal when it warmes up . OK Roger
