Chevrolet: car stereo, chevy cavalier, stock cd

i have a 1998 chevy cavalier.  a few days ago my battery died.  when i jumped it my cd player just says loc on the screen and won't play either cd's or the radio.  it is a stock cd player.  any help on how to reset or fix it would be wonderful.

      Have you checked all of the fuses ? is anything stuck in it. I  do not repair stereos only mech. but I looked up a place for you to check out (carstereohelp.com)
it sounds as if it is locked up do you have the book that came with the car. It might have to be un-locked with a code #.
