Chevrolet: 99 Cav brake lights stopped working, lamp sockets, hazard lights

The break lights on my 1999 Cavalier stopped working except for the center mounted light in the spoiler.  The tail, backup and hazard lights work fine, and all the bulb filaments and fuses look fine.  The exposed wiring in the trunk is clean and dry.  What could cause this?

HI Chuck;
  I would put new lamps in any way as it still might be the bulbs.and I would try a test lamp to see if you are getting any juice to the lamp sockets. and if still not it could be a short or the brake switch but if the center is working I would check the lamps/bulbs again  ok.
