Chevrolet: cooling system cavalier, recovery tank, dexcool

Question
i would like to service the cooling system on a 1998 cavalier with a 2.2 engine with a/c. how do i drain the system as there doesn't appear to be a valve on the rad. can get away with draining the recovery tank and replacing the dexcool in there?
thanks

Answer
Hi Wayne. There is a drain plug in the rad, but its hard to see. The best way to see it is from below the car in the bottom of the rad on the drivers side. Just draining the recovery tank isn't going to do much because most of the coolant is in the engine and the radiator. I hope this helps you if you need more help just let me know. regards, Keith.
