ok heres what happened i was coming on on the interstate going about 80mph the car jerked and slowed down to 70 then jerked and cut off since then it wont start i've done everything so far that i have been told to do still wont start, starter and selnoid good, getting fuel and fuel pump turns on, new plugs , its getting spark and even got the ignition coil pack checked, thats good,fuses are good, fuel filter is new, battery is new, and air filter its an 88 chevy celebrity 2.5 4cl, 164,000 miles on it, it turns over but will not start

Hi Charles, check the fuel pressure, just because it running doesnt mean its good. Also check the crank sensor. Let me know what you find Regards, Keith.

AnswerHi Charles, to check the fuel pressure you will need a fuel pressure tester. Hook it up to the fuel supply line and turn on the key to start the fuel pump and see what the gauge reads. The crank sensor is behind the ignition module, you have to remove the module plate to see it. I hope this helps you, if you need more info just let me know. Let me know what you find.
