Chevrolet: Shaking Steering Wheel, wheel balance, defective tire

My 1999 Cavalier's steering wheel shakes when the speed gets up around 75. The steering wheel also made a clicking sound when turned at slow speeds. I know 1999 is out of the range you specified, but hopefully you can still answer this question. Thanks.

Hi Robert, its most likely to be a defective tire, A wheel balance or a bent rim. Have your tires balanced, when they put the wheel on the balancing machine they should tell if the rim or tire need to be replaced. I hope this helps you, if you need more info just let me know. Regards, Keith.
