Chevrolet: 1997 Cavalier not starting, new email, timing belt

Question
I have received several e-mails from you but I'm not sure I understand thosel  My car died in the middle of driving it and it turns over like it's getting fire and it seems like it's getting gas the question I have is:  Could it be the fuel filter clogged up or something other than the timing belt?  I was told(by my husband's friend) that it was the timing belt and it would cost well over $1000.00. The car tries to turn over but seems like it's getting no gas or fire one. Do you have any suggesions as to what could be wrong with it?

Answer
Hi Tauna, now im confused, you said it had fire. Dont listen to your friend, your car doesnt even have a timing belt. It would have to be serious to cost that much. Just be patient and we will get to the problem. If it has no fire or gas there isnt much to cause both at the same time. The ignition module, fuse for the ecm, broken wire to the ecm or the ecm itself(ECM= electronic control module). I just answered one email from you so now i dont know what is what, so you said it had fire then you said it didnt. So send me a new email with what you know now and we will work through it step by step. Dont worry about asking questions, thats what were here for. Regards Keith.
