Chevrolet: Driver Low Beam Not Working, chevy malibu, high beams

I have a 97 chevy malibu.  The low beam on the drivers side quit working.  After replacing the headlight the low beam still did not work.  The low beam on the passenger side works and the high beams work on both sides.  I switched the original drivers side bulb (that I thought was bad) with the original passenger side bulb (which is fine) and the low beam on the drivers side still did not work.  I have checked the fuses and they are fine.  Thanks for any suggestions you might have.

 I would look at the plug where the wires plug into the bulb/lamp as the inside could be broken or rotted up. test with a test lamp to see if you get voltage .
and if that is ok than I would check the switch in the dash. also check the wires going to the bulb. any broken ?
