I have a 72 Nova 350 CI. It has 194-160 heads that are ported and polished, Eldebrock 600 performer carb. 510 lift cam dont know what brand. Eldebrock Torker 2 Manifold.MSD dist and MSD 6al ign. box. Headers and Flowmaster delta 40 mufflers 2 and a half inch. The car runs really good in town at lower RPMs. And runs real good when I put my foot into it. The problem Im having is it has a miss at freeway speeds 70 mph at about 3500 rpm. Ive tried richining the carb un hooking the vac advance advancing the timing, checked for vac leaks. Ijust cant seem to get rid of it. I als o have put on a new cap rotor and msd super conductor wires. New plugs gapped at 040. Im lost and need your help do you have any suggestions.  Thanks Rick

hi;
 sounds like a good set up, do you have a elect fuel pump ? and a fuel gauge ? you might have a flat spot ? how about the coil ?   is it a miss like your ign. key was turned off for a second or a engine type miss, if it is like the key was turned off it is a elect prob. if not I bet it is the GAS !if you dont have a elect fuel pump try one. you will like it.
good luck
roger  Roger, I have not changed the coil. I have a MSD Blaster 2 in it. I thougt a coil would just go bad ,not work at all. Can they go slowly? And no I dont have a electric fuel pump might have to try that or what abought the Eldebrock fuel pumps that have the high flow rates. I kinda want to keep the original look.  Thanks Rick

hi;
    Rick, you could use the Eldebrock pumps they should be just fine. and yea a coil can break down and not put out what it should or have a hi or low spot where it could drop its output.It will only get worse than it will turn bad. but that could be some time. let me know how you make out , sounds as if you got a good street machine , try to get a set of the 202 heads, it might make a big diff.Those 350 chevy engines can take a lot and last a long time. and the 283 & 327  also.
good luck
