Chevrolet: electrical, lamp sockets, dash lights

my dash lights and tail lights all went out last night and when I replaced the fuse it just blew righ away again

 ok the reason the dash lights go out is a warning that your tail lights are out also if you put in a new fuse and it blew you have a short thats grounding out, as it could be from a bad bulb that blew out and it is shorting out inside or you could have a dead short grounding out but i would test all bulbs first than all lamp sockets if the car is old. but its  a short and i hope it is just a bulb as this does happen a lot . Did you have anything in the trunk lately or mabey a scraped wire it could be lots of things.
good luck= I hope its just a bulb.did you use the same size fuse ??
