Chevrolet Venture 2001. I know I have a bent park switch on my wipers, is this switch easy to access, where exactly is it and how do I fix it? I have an extended warranty on my vehicle, but according to the shop this is not covered.  I have worked on my own cars a lot, so I should be able to handle this.
Answer -
The problem is not a bent park switch. It is a bent tang on the wiper motor bracket under the crank arm.

Thank you for your answer, now to the next one: Is this easy to fix? Any special tools required?

Answer
I haven't had one of these in awhile and I dont remember if you have to remove the wiper motor or not, but what you are looking for is the crank arm that is bolted to the motor shaft. Remove the crank arm from the motor and look for the part of the bracket that is bent up towards the crank arm. It need to be positioned so that it contacts the little lever on the bottom side of the crank arm when the motor is running in reverse.
When you turn the wipers off, the motor will reverse direction and the little lever will catch the piece on the bracket and force the wipers to park.
Mark everything before you take it apart, because if you dont put everything back together in the same position it was originally, the wipers will park in the middle of the windshield.
It is not hard to repair and the only tools that you might need are torx bits and possibly a wiper arm removal tool, if you cant get them off.
