Chevrolet: Chevy Ventura Windshield, chevy astro van, chevy astro

Question
Followup To Question:
Are these other complaints listed on the site? I would like to print them out and show them to my supervisor, so she can see there are others out there with the same problem, and I am not just making things hard for the company or hard to get along with. Any and all documentation you could provide would be greatly appreciated. Thanks for you answer and the information you provided, it is greatly appreciated.
Sincerely,
Sharon

1st Question -
I have recently been provided a Chevrolet Ventura van for transporting children. I have a problem seeing out the front window. When looking straight everything is fine, however; when I glance to either side everything looks blurry, and it puts my depth perception badly off. On a few of the other vans my agency has bought, some folks cite that the lower portions of windows make things look blurry, but not enough to stop them from driving it.
I went to the eye doctors to see if was me and not the vehicle; however the Dr. did not find anything that would cause this problem. I myself have a Chevy Astro van and see just fine through that window.
Could it be because of the slant of the window on this new Ventura that could cause visual problems?
I don't want to loose my job, but at the same time I do not want to jeopardize the children I transport either!

Some of the people I work with can see the problem, others look at me like I am crazy. Has this been a problem with other drivers? I am very afraid to drive it due to the depth perception problem. Has this occurred with anyone else that I might provide documentation to my employer?
The dealership does not see anything wrong with the window, and looks at me like I'm nuts. They won't replace the window because they don't see any blurry-ness, that I see. Please help.
I dont have any of the specifications, due to it being a work vehicle, I still hope you can help.
Sincerely,
Sharon

Answer -
Yes, I have had other complaints about the windows in these vans. Most of them bother me when looking though them at an angle. Its the curve of the glass that distorts everything.

Answer
I do not think that I have had any questions about it on this web site, but I have had complaints about it at work. I have been working in GM dealerships for 20 years and I have had complaints on the Venture, Lumina APV, Transport, Montana, and Silhoettes. They are all basically the same van. Some are the old style and some are new models, but they all have that same type winshield.
Sorry that I cant provide you with the documentation you want, but you could try some of the local glass shops. I'm sure that they have replaced many of then for this problem. Just look in the phone book under automotive glass.
