i have a 1990 chevy lumina iam sorry i dont know the engine size but what i want to know is why does the car shake in front when i press the gas to go faster or up a hill.

Could be a few things causing this.

1.You could have a misfire caused by bad ignition or fuel system parts.
2.You could have worn front end parts in the steering or suspension.
3.You could have problems with your tires.

Without some better info from you this is all I can tell you. You should probably take it to the shop and have it looked at. If it is a problem in the front end parts or tires, it could be dangerous to drive.
