Chevrolet: 2001 Camaro Low Traction Light, obdii scan tool, wet roads

Question
Hello Harold,
The past 2 days or so, I have noticed that my low traction light comes on at almost every stop and take off.  It was normal for this to happen on wet roads or when traveling from hard top to sand, etc, now it seems there isnt such an obvious reason, and I can feel it jumping in my brakes, any ideas?

Answer
First thing you need to do is check your tires for wear and check the tire pressure. A low or worn tire can cause this to happen. If the tires are GOOD, you will need to take it to the shop to have it diagnosed. There may be codes stored in one of the modules that will help isolate the problem area. There are no ways for you to check the ABS/TCS systems yourself without a bi-directional OBDII scan tool.
Also your problem may still be covered under warranty.
