Chrysler: interior lights flashing, chrysler concorde lxi, 1999 chrysler concorde lxi

Question
I have a 1999 Chrysler Concorde LXi with 70,500 miles on it.  Within the past week, the lights on the odometer, radio, overhead console and the gear/transmission indicator have been flashing from dim to bright.  This is only noticeable when I have the front headlights or the daytime running lights on.  I have not noticed any loss of power to the engine while driving.  The flashing is not constant. Sometimes it will flash quickly for 10 seconds or so, then it will stop for a minute.  I have not been able to pinpoint any other specific times this is occurring other than when I turn on the headlights.
No warning lights have come on or flashed.  The instrument cluster panel does not flash.
Could this be the alternator going on me?
I purchased this vehicle from my parents four months ago and they had absolutely no problems with this car.  They kept it in excellent shape and were quick to fix anything.

Answer
What mechanical work has been performed on the vehicle recently ?. As most problems that occur after a recent repair was made can be traced back to the area of where the repair was made.

I would suspect a possible loose ground circuit and or a possible alternator/battery or cables problem.

remove the alt and the bat from the vehicle and hand carry them into most any larger auto aprts stores and they will test them for FREE.
