Dodge: 1997 Dodge Ram Cruise Control, vacuum problem, vacuum lines

My cruise control has been giving me problems. It would take several attempts of pushing the set button before it would come on. It finally quit alltogether so I replaced the switch assembly. It worked ok for a couple of days but now its acting up again. Any suggestions? Thanks

The Dodge trucks had some problems with the servo under the battery,it is a round looking gadget that has some vacuum lines hooked to it.The acid from the battery sometimes leaks onto the lines and eats the hoses.You may have to remove the battery to check it.This is a vacuum problem.But i would start here.If this doesn't work contact me again and i'll check into it some more.
