Ford: 1976 Ford F-150 Starting Problem, ford f 150, side fender

I have a 1976 F-150 2wd,manual 3 speed with a 300ci engine,1bbl carb. I have checked the fuel system as well and checked to make sure the igniton coil was fireing. It turns over strong n fuel spray inside carb is good as well as the pressure as is the coil spark. Is it possible the coil pack(pick up coil) may have gone bad?

It sounds like the ing, module has gone bad . this should be mounted in the driver side fender well. it has 3 bolts holding it down remove it and inspect it to see if the backing has melted.if you replace it make sure you look at the color of the wire tab going into the bottom. it could be blue brown ect.the part house needs to know or they will guess and give you the wrong one.
