Ford: heater, ford dealer, brass fittings

Question
my heater just quit working properly. it blows great but no heat. i checked my thermostat and it is working fine. i went to ford dealer for a new control valve, they have the part number but the part no longer exists it is an 98 f150 super cab lairiet. is there a simple fix? i have to be to my job in Wyoming no later than the 14TH. please help!!!!!

Answer
the only reason they put a control valve in is so that the ac blows colder in the summer.just hook it direct and it should work just fine.and if you want just do what i did go to home depot and get your self a  outside water outlet T handle ball valve and 2 brass fittings and you can shut it off in the summer.
