Ford: ford 460 engine, ford 460 engine, squirrel repellent

Question
hi dusty granata: i could sure use your help with a problem i'm having with my 28 foot 1990 gulfstream conquest motorhome, with a ford 460 engine. two weeks ago it was running fine, than some squirrels got into the engine area and chewed some wires on some of the plug connections which i repaired. but i'm not sure if i missed something because the engine will not start. i;m getting spark but no fuel. this ford 460 engine has fuel injection so i pressed down on the shedder valve on the fuel rail and found no fuel or pressure. i'm not sure if it's something the squirrels did or something that went wrong with fuel system that the squirrels had nothing to do with. i really need a wiring diagram so i can check to see if i missed something. do you of any wire on top of the engine that the squirrels could have damaged that would have cut off the fuel supply to the engine? any help on this problem would surely be apprehended.  john  or

Answer
ok lol this has to be the oddest problem I've had all week.
there is not much on top of the engine that will cause you to have no rail pressure, that is your fuel pump. check the panel box for a "fuel pump relay" or fuse. with the key on listen for your pump to kick on, I'm not very Familiar  with motor homes, I'm just going by what i know of ford trucks in general. you should still have an in tank fuel pump and that will kick on when you turn the key on. if its not you have to trace that back.

start there, let me know how you make out, and buy some squirrel repellent.
