Ford: Rear Brakes, rear brakes, f 250

Question
Sometimes the rear brake on both sides of my 2005 F-250 heat up so hot you can not touch the rims. What is wrong? It does not happen all the time.

Answer
Hello

If this is happening with an unloaded vehicle, a thorough brake inspection may reveal the problem.

A few possibilities are:

1 master cylinder or other , not allowing front brakes to work correctly.

2 Front calipers or slides sticking

3 Rear brakes over adjusted

4 sticking e-brake

5 Drums oversize

6 front rotors glazed ( not remachined when new pads installed)
