Ford: antifreeze leak, antifreeze leak, coolant level

Question
hi, when i put antifreeze in my car i look under the car and i can see it streaming back out in the front of the car. whats wrong?

Answer
Hello,

Well, if you are pouring antifreeze in and not missing the hole, then it is either dribbling out the overflow hose (need year make and model), or you have a leak.

The best way to determine is to fill the car as best you can and pressurize the cooling system to determine the source of leak.

If it will not hold coolant, then i recommend that you get it towed to a shop as it may overheat very quickly and damage the engine.  If the coolant level is low enough, it will not show hot on the guage, so it isn't worth the risk.

Some common leaks are the hoses, waterpump, and block heaters as well as radiator.
