Ford: 1994 f150 engine swap, painless wiring kits, engine wiring harness

I am working on a 1994 f150 flareside and I want to install an 1970 351 I have had rebuilt I was wondering if there is any type of wireing hareness to bypass the current harness or is this required ? I am also putting in a 5 speed manual tranny. any help would be great. Thanks

Wow,  I hope you are good with wiring

The engine you are removing is  emissions, end electronically controlled. Installing a non emissions carbureted engine.

Be sure you are not going to have problems licencing it later.  Here we are emmissions regulated= replacement engine has to meet or exceed the limits set for the year of the body/ chassis.


You can remove the engine wiring harness and the computor.
You will have to run new wires for the engine and all guages.

Hopefully the instuments will work with the senders on the motor.

The rest will be found on the wiring diagrams.  The engine and it's accessories( alternator) use minimal wiring but i don't for see any reason it can't be done.

You can buy Painless wiring kits, but I'm pretty sure there is nothing simple for the swap you are intending.
