Ford: Oil Change in a 1999 Crown Victoria, cylinder walls, crown victoria

Question
I have a 1999 Crown Victoria in perfect condition.
I very seldom drive it, maybe 25 to 30 miles every three to four months.
I am concerned about how often I should change the oil.
Also, should I use an additive to help keep the cylinder walls lubricated?

Answer
hello

oil changes depend on alot of things.

how often are you driving in a week?

If you are driving this distance in only 1 trip every 3-4 months, then I would suggest a spring and fall oil change.

if you are doing 2-3 short trips a week then the wear is alot more and condensation worse, so every 3 months would be highly recommended.

A good quality oil should lubricate cylinder walls enough.
