Ford: hydraulic clutch, clutch hydraulics, hydraulic clutch

Question
I went out to start my truck and pushed the clutch pedal down and it stayed down.  I checked fluid level, it is full.  I do see a spring underneath dash, and something that looks like a fork, how do I put spring back?

Answer
Hi

Has the spring fallen out?

It is an "over center type", meaning if you push the pedal past center, it will not return on it's own, and will have to be lifted.

Unfortunately, this is usually caused by failed clutch hydraulics or broken ,or worn, pedal mount and pivot assembly.
