Ford: mustang dieing out, fuel pressure guage, mustang gt

hey i have a 1986 mustang gt that has recently been giving me a problem...it will start up and run fine, but when u go to  drive it like 2-3 minutes after driving, it wants to fall on its face, and die out. now..it will ONLY start back up if you turn the key OFF, and then you turn it back ON, it will start. but if you do not do that, it will juz keep cranking. mind you...the car sat for 4 months with NO gas in it....and has only been driven the last 2 days, and this started today

what engine do you have?

It sounds like a sensor problem.  What codes do you have?

After sleeping on it i think you need to look at fuel system. attach a fuel pressure guage to the shrader and watch the pressure as it dies. then try to restart. i suspect that fuel pressure is dropping out and will not return until the key is turned off and fuel "prime" is activated with key on.

The car should also hold pressure after the key is turned off and shouldn't drop more than 3 psi in 2-3 minutes
