Ford: 99 f250 steering problem, pitman arm, steering gears

Question
i have a 99 f250 crewcab 4x4 with the 7.3 deisel engine heres my issue. first the steering wheel has play in it say 11 to 1 o'clock. second leaving my lease we hit a hard rut and know the steering wheel is turned to the right and slightly pulls to the left. third when i apply the brakes the truck pulls to the right, but not all the time, can you offer ant advise on this matter thanks

Answer
Acceptable steering wheel lash is measured by ruler and specifications are based by diameter of the steering wheel, but I'd say that that is a bit excessive. The isolator, or rag joint or u-joint/ coupler in the steering column to the steering gear may be damaged or worn.  The steering gear may be damaged or worn. or the Pitman arm or other linkage damaged or worn.
With truck running, have someone rock the steering wheel to the point where the wheels start moving and look for the slop.

It may be more than 1 item.  Steering gears have an adjustment, but that is for initial setup and should not be used to take up slack in the gear.

As for the rest... you require a proper front end and brake inspection. Sounds like you bent something, and whether or not it can be corrected with and alignment, depends on what you find.
