Ford: 1997 ford ranger turn signal issue, ford ranger stx, left turn signal

my 1997 ford ranger STX 4X4 has a problem with the left turn signal. when I press the brake the turn signal stays steady. also when I am using the cruise control and turn on the left turn signal it will cancel the cruise control. the right turn signal works as it should with no problems. any idea's would be great. thanks

I would suggest that you have put the bulb in incorrectly (Brake Light) or you accidently put in a 1 filament (1056)bulb , rather than a 2 filament (1157) bulb.

Other wise, check wiring,or possibly the right front turn signal bulb.

Also, check that the hazard lights work correctly on all 4 corners
