Ford: pd305 engine misfire!, dielectric grease, engine misfire

Question
Hi, Vehicle is 1999 Winstar V6 3.8 liter 155,000kms.
Noticed a misfire while driving vehicle which seems to get worse when it rains. Replaced all plug wires, but i still get code 305 (cyl 5 misfire)Is cyl 5 the one closest to the transaxle on the front side of the vehicle? The plugs are bosch platinium with only 15000 kms on them. Any other suggestions as the vehicle still has a slight miss?
Thanks.

Answer
Hey there Robert, Cylinder 5 is the middle on the front side of the engine. You lucked out there its on the easy side to check remove the plug and wire inspect the porcelain on that plug for traces of carbon (black residue) if there is that residue then replace the plug and the wire as well. it also doesn't hurt to put a little dielectric grease on the wire ends before putting them on the plug or the coil pack. Hope this helps
