Ford: 1968 Ford Pick Up, grey velour, white ford

Question
Hello John, I have a 1968 White Ford F250 crewcab shortbed runs great, looks clean, small rust areas. Its been here for at least 25 years sitting in one spot. It doesn't look like it has ever been damaged in any way. Engine is either a 360 or 390, stick shift tranny & the interior has been completey redone with electric grey velour captain seats.  I am wondering its worth & where I could sell it.  I have had several conflicting ideas.  Can you help? Thanks bib%

Answer
Hello Breazy,
This is a tough question. If this truck sat in the same spot for 25 years there are going to be many problems when you start driving it again. You will probably have to change out all the hoses, belts, seals, gaskets, and a variety of other parts that have dried out or frozen up.
You didn't tell me if the truck is 2 or 4 wheel drive or if it has air conditioning, or other options.
I suggest you try placing an ad in your local paper with a price that is more than you are willing to accept. Most people will offer you less than you ask no matter how much it is.
If I had to guess, you probably have about a $1500 to $2500 tuck. You should probably check to newspaper to see if there is anything close to your truck being offered in the classifieds now to help you compare.
Good Luck,
John
