Ford: Air bag code 34, tauruses, ford dealer

I have a 93 Ford Areostar with about 170,000 miles.  The Airbag light has started blinking a code of 34.  What am I looking at as the cause and a rough guestment of the cost to repair.  The van has not been in an accident.

I am not exactly sure what the code means as I specialize in Tauruses but generally to replace a airbag is between 150 and 500 dollars depending on model.  As for the code call your local ford dealer and ask them over the phone to tell you what it means, or check your owner's manual.
