Ford: Towing Problems, ford explorer 4wd, drive shaft

Question
Hello....

I have heard that towing a vehicle incorrectly can result in damage.  Could you please advise what "typical" problems could result from incorrect towing of a 1996 Ford Explorer (4WD)?

Thanks

if you tow your vehicle with the drive shaft in you can ruin your transmission.you also should not tow over 30 mph or more than 25 miles if you leave the drive shaft in.you can also hurt your rearend.if you are going say 15-20 miles tow it but go slow.hope this helps.
