Ford: 89 ESCORT FUEL DELIVERY, escort wagon, fuel flow

THANK YOU FOR ANSWERING MY ORIGINAL QUESTION,BUT UNFORTUNATLY, THE ESSCORT WAGON THAT WE HAVE DOESN'T HAVE AN ACCESS OPENING UNDER THE BACK SEAT.

MY SONS 89 ESCORT WAGON STOPED RUNNING AND WON'T RESTART. OBSERVATION OF THE THROTTLE BODY WHILE TRYING TO START THE ENGINE INDICATES THAT THERE IS NO FUEL FLOW. ALSO, WE DON'T HEAR THE NORMAL SOUND OF THE FUEL PUMP RUNNING BEFORE PRESSURE IS BUILT UP (THE FUEL FILTER HAS BEEN CHANGED).
QUESTION- IS THERE A FUSE OR RELAY THAT SHOULD BE CHECKED BEFORE WE GO TO THE TROUBLE OF REPLACING THE FUEL PUMP OR SHOULD WE BE LOOKING AT SOMTHING ELSE?

carl all you have to do is just go under the rear seat and there is a plate with screws in it undere it is the fuel pump first unplug the conectoe have someone turn on the key and see if you have power there  . if so the pump is no good now remember that you will only have power for 3 to 5 sec then you have to turn the key off then on

ok my fault I just realized you said it was a wagon. you then have to go under the vehicle to test the connector you should have 4 wires see if you have power if you do then fuel  pump is no good if not let me know and send a-mail add. o also ck the fuel cut off switch it should be in the back but in your ouners guide it will tell you were and see if it has been triger if so just push down the button
