Ford: 99 Ford Escort- misfiring, vacuum leak, pressure vacuum

Question
So...... I haven't had my car all week the mechanic looked at it ran some tests, changed the plugs, reset the fuel pump. He's supposed to drain the gas tank and change the fuel filter. Honestly I'm getting a little upset about not having my car all week and still nothing is resolved. I'm at the point of wanting to go down there and take my car back and give it to the dealer. what would I be responsible for? would it be worth it?

Answer
Reset the fuel pump? I have been with ford 18 yrs now and never heard of resetting a fuel pump.I would like to realy know how this is done because I know they are full of S*^@#!. something is not right.    Would it be worth it ? what I don't under stand  it's just a misfire what the problem. I do these all day long and it takes anywhere from 1/2 hour to 2hrs max to diag.   What the problem.no you should not be responsible for any thing if they cant fix it . were are you located.its either low fuel pressure , vacuum leak, low cylinder compression, bad fuel inj.coil pack shorted,or bad plug wire.or they don't know what they are doing.
