i have a bucking sensation when i accellerate,it happens at low speeds and high speeds.sometimes coming off the gas and getting back on the gas. usually on the hghway it is okay. i scaneed the computer and got a code 34 , which is a egr valve position sensor, and high voltage was detected. i replaced the sensor but promblem is still present.is there something else i should be looking for? also the check engine light does not come on, and i did clear the codes, and the code 34 came back.
   please help

Doug yes you have to remove the EGR valve itself and remove all the carbon inside of it and also remove all the carbon inside the intake this will solve your problem good luck          ragu,
do i have to take the intake off of the motor, or just clean out the hole where the egr valve bolts too,the hole is about 5/8 inch . and then you are saying to clean out the egr valve itself once i remove it. i just want to be clear as to what needs to be done.

Answer
no you don't. But you do have to remove the throttle body if you go easy you can use the old gasket if not make sure you are able to get one . now if you don't to go thru all that then then just clean out the hole and when you scrape it all out just for 2 sec. start it up and this will blow out the small pices that you didn't get out.
