Ford: Brake Noise? 2001 ExpSport, independent test results, drain intervals

Question
Could you clearify the following:
"now we tested some oil and the only ones that are ok were amsoil and deep purple." Who,what and when about the tests? Any independent evidence/results? Have the big three, specificaly Ford tested amsoil? I'm familiar with it and I wounder if there is any real evidence to backup what amsoil is claiming, protection and extended drain intervals? To many Amsoil dealers/auto experts are biased because they also sell the stuff, so they stand to gain something. Looking for truly independent test results or analysis.  Thanks.

Here is a though one. After coming to a complete stop, and then start to release the brake pedal just a bit, but before the vehicle begins to budge there is a "growling" type of noise, but only present when the brake pedal is teasted.  What in the world is that? It doesn't seem like serious or problematic but just bothersome, you know. I sure hope you can point me in the direction of the problem, it's somewhat anoying.
Also, what's your take on "full-synthetic" oils and so called synthetic media oil filters? I mean, there is a lot of talk that they outperform petroleums, but a recent article I read suggests that auto manufacturers don't see any improvement in their product test when they push engines to the point of breakdown.  Any thoughts? Thanks.

not to worry this happens at times with brakes.if you change your oil every 3,000 miles and maintain you vehicle why bother puting in oil that the dealer doesn't?????? you think for 1 min. if it would help extend the life of an eng. they wouldn't use to get a better name for themself???? now we tested  some oil and the only ones that are ok were amsoil and deep purple.
