Ford: electric fuel pump, electric fuel pump, drive shaft

How do I remove pump from tank? I have a   1987 ford E 150 van.

First make sure you have as little gas as posable in the tank it will make it a lot easyer.block the wheels and put on the e brake .look under the driver side were the filler is for the fuel you will see 2 straps holding in the tank.They should be 15mm.remove the drive shaft this will give you easy access to the fuel pump.Remove the bolts to the strap. Y ou will also need a 12 point 12mm swivelsocket to remove the drive shaft.lower down the tank and on top if the tank you will see a metal round circle there is a ring around it you have to removed this ring to get out the pump.and on the lines the plastic clips will pop up with a scerw driver these will come new with the pump.
