GM-GMC: Right window install, gmc sierra, window regulators

Question
1999 GMC Sierra Ext Cab 4wd: Power Windows

I am installing a new right side window and I already have the panel off, everything disconnected, and the old glass removed. The problem I am having is the left side roller that holds the glass came off the guide and now there are two cables that are unattached. I believe they came off pullies as well. I am stuck! Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Answer
The window regulators in those trucks are notorious for coming apart, usually due to the cables fraying and eventually breaking.  Assuming that that is not what has happened to your truck then you have a bit of a birds nest. It may be best in your case to remove the other door panel and have a look at exactly how the cables are routed.  The regulator itself only has a few bolts holding it in the door.  You may also find it easier to get reassembled with it out of the door.
Hope this helps.
