GM-GMC: brake light, salvage yard, resivoir

the brake light is on in the dash, how do i turn it off

Arthur first I would check the flid level in the resivoir then I would check the emergency brake pedal to make sure it was depressing against the switch ther and if it is you may have to replace that that is a dealer part or you may want to try a salvage yard thank you
