GM-GMC: Air Conditioner Blower Fan 2003 GMC Envoy XL, gmc envoy xl, air conditioner blower

Question
I have the automatic temp control on the above model.  The blower fan on the HVAC unit will not turn off when the engine is shut off.  The blower fan speed will no longer control either, just blows on low.  I replaced the temp control unit ($$$) and the problem still exist.  Any suggestions?

two things

1. the dash control for the fan the knob replace the actual unit behind the knob not the wires that plug into it but the module they plug into behind the knob that controls the fan speed

2. for the auto temp the sensor for the inside temp is probably bad
