GM-GMC: Truck Wont Stay running, air filter assembly, throttle positioning sensor

Question
1993 chevy full size 350....It all started when the ground cable from the motor...then it started flooding really bad...then we changed a bunch of sensors on it...today we changed the oxygen sensor after putting alot of money into this truck....then it isn't flooding that bad but it won't stay running without keeping the gas pushed....What could be the problems? Please help me asap Thank you

Answer
Hi Jessica,

My first thoughts would be the TPS sensor (throttle positioning sensor) I see you have said you have replaced several sensors if you already have replaced this one there is that possibility that it is a faulty sensor causing it not to idle properly you can find this sensor on the passenger side of the throttle body its a small black sensor with like 3 star key screws holding it on you'll have to take the air filter assembly off to get to this and may need to take off one or two of the vacuum sensors to get to this.  This also could be a problem with your line coming from the gas pedal to the throttle body the bracket maybe a little loose causing it to stay closed when idle. There also could be a issue with the computer but that is an unlikely problem.

Hope this helps and if i could be of any further assistance pleas feel free to ask for a follow up
