Question
why when it is rainy,i cant get this truck to fire up.
this truck turns over and will not fire off.
i have maintained this truck with the best of care and im having a major problem every time it rains getting it started,aside from replacing every part under the body id like to know what you think. the truck has 154.000 miles on it and is in great shape please tell me what you think oh mighty man that makes things tick!

I like your comment, but I am a diesel fanatic and spark is not required!

I have seen a lot of these questions.  I do not know what causes the rainy day problems.  The only suggestion that I can make is to check all of the ignition and fuel system connectors for tightness and cleanliness (except those that are supposed to have dielectric grease on their contacts).

If the vehicle has a distributor, check under the cap for signs of condensation.

This is one reason why I drive 20 year old diesels!
