GM-GMC: GMC Sierra 1500 Coolant leak, coolant leaks, crankshaft pulley

Question
Thanks for the reply. As far as I can tell, I am only having external coolant leaks. I have not found it in my oil or seen different colored exhaust. I found a possible source of the leak last night and it appears to be from the seam between the top of the seal on the crankshaft pulley and the engine block. I do not know the exact path of the coolant through the V6 engine so I'm not sure what seal I should be considering in need of replacement.

Thank you.

Question -
I have a 2001 GMC Sierra 1500 with a coolant leak. I've checked all of the hoses and flushed the system. Still leaking. Where do I start next?

Answer -
I would have a shop pressure test the system and see if it holds pressure.

If it does not, a dye can be added to the coolant and the cooling system can then be checked for leaks.

If you have no external leaks, the engine is consuming the coolant and it is either going into the oil or into the cylinders.  If so, the engine will have to be repaired.

Answer
It is likely the water pump from your description of where the leak is.  Either the water pump gasket is bad or the water pump shaft seal is leaking and coolant is running down to where you see it.

Try cleaning and drying the area where the coolant is and watch for it to reappear.
